Tap origin or destination to set your route. ⇄ flips it. Set Commute to save your home and work stations. WiMi then opens to the right direction automatically. Once you start heading to the station your route locks in, and those buttons become a red Cancel trip if plans change.

The big card shows your next train and when to head out, travel time to the platform included. Set Drive / Walk to match how you get there.

Turn on location and WiMi calls it: … to leave, Leave now, or Won’t make it. One steady verdict, updating live as you move and as delays land.

The signal. A little signal appears when your train's path needs watching: traffic stopped or crawling ahead, your own train slowing for no clear reason, or holding short of the terminal when it should be pulling in. Read it like a real track signal. Tap it any time for this key.

Tap the map card to open it, centered on you (or your train once aboard). Tap a train to track it. Tap your own to confirm you're aboard. Blue = track ahead; Green = your route to the station, next turn up top. = express.

Swipe a train card left, then tap the blue Join button to board. Once aboard, WiMi switches to your arrival countdown; swipe left again to reveal the red Leave train button, then tap it to get off. WiMi also spots boarding on its own when you’re riding along with a train. And if you’re standing on your platform with your train selected, it joins you automatically the moment that train pulls in. Your trip stays put even if you close the app.

When your train pulls into your destination, WiMi shows a goodbye card. It stays up for a bit so you can’t miss it, then tap anywhere and WiMi clears the trip, ready for you to pick your next one.

The upcoming list shows every train after yours as its own block, so the next departure is always right there if you miss one. If your selected train slips out of reach, the card moves itself to the next one you can actually make (expresses first). After the last train, it says when service resumes.

Alerts start off. Tap the bell on the home card to watch the train you picked (the same switch lives in Settings if you’d rather flip it there). A Leave now ping at the exact minute to head out, delays (with the reason when it’s a line-wide issue), cancels, pulling-in, a heads-up if an express that skips your stop rolls through, and almost-there then reach your lock screen with WiMi closed. Miss your train and WiMi tells you it left and turns itself off; it never jumps to a different train. Your usual trains (set in the TRIP tab) arm on their own each service day, so your commute always reports in. Needs WiMi on your Home Screen.

Declare Usual train to work and Usual train home in the TRIP tab; those arm automatically each service day, and leaving them unset lets WiMi learn the trains you take. The chips in ALERTS choose which types come through. Days you ride picks which weekdays reach your lock screen at all (Mon–Fri to start), and Skip holidays stays quiet on the majors. A separate switch sends daily updates for your usual route. Show notifications while using WiMi is off by default, so iOS notifications only appear when you’re not using WiMi; while it’s open, alerts land inside the app. Turn it on for lock-screen banners even while WiMi is open. Send a test alert proves the whole path, and a status line shows the watcher’s last sweep.

The ticker above the big card carries live service alerts for your line and WiMi’s own passing notes about your train, like a delay, a recovery, or a train going live. No news means no bar at all. On the map or riding along, a fresh service alert surfaces on the map banner too, so it still reaches you mid-trip. Other one-off messages, like a bug-report thanks, appear as a small popup near the bottom; tap it or its ✕ to dismiss.

With the Weather setting on, the card shows conditions at your destination station: what the sky is doing where you’re headed.

Chimes mark delays, boarding, arrivals and recoveries. The speaker beside the gear mutes them, and the loading screen has the same speaker to tap. On iPhone the Ring/Silent switch also applies.

The status line on the big card shows when you’ll reach your destination, like “Arrives CUS 4:27 PM”, with the delay tier in front when the train is behind. A single time means WiMi is confident. A range means the running has been uneven, so you get the honest spread instead of a fake exact minute. Every surface draws its time from the same resolver, so the card, the map and the rows always agree. Trains ease into Union and Aurora over the last mile, and WiMi counts that crawl (and learns each terminal’s habit), so a time can never promise an arrival sooner than the rails allow. The more you ride, the tighter it all gets.

Your stations, commute, sound choice and learning stay on your phone, and your phone’s location is never uploaded. This device carries an anonymous code, the USER # on the loading screen and in Settings, that tags what it contributes, so data can be told apart without knowing who anyone is. While you have WiMi open, that same code also carries which train you’re tracking and that you’re active, so the live map can show how many riders are aboard a train right now; still no location, no account. Reset in Settings clears the phone’s own data. Moving to a fresh install? Back up my setup in Settings turns everything WiMi has saved into one copyable code, and Restore a backup on the new copy brings it all over.

WiMi tracks how far off its arrival times turn out to be and pools that with everyone else using it, so predictions sharpen as more people ride. What’s shared is only timing: which train, which stop, how early or late. No location, no accounts. Just the anonymous user code, so contributions can be told apart. Because it belongs to everyone, Reset leaves it alone.

The small dot in the top-right corner of the big card shows where its arrival time is coming from right now. No news is grey; it warms up as WiMi gets to know your trains.
